The association ‘Unsere Welt Frankfurt (Oder) e.V.’ was founded on 7 July 1994 by the staff of the Spatzenhaus day-care centre with the aim of taking over the running of their own centre. Later, many parents embraced our idea and became members of the association.

The purpose of our association is to promote the education and development of children, young people, and adults.

In particular, we aim to provide:

• High-quality education, care, and support for children

• A better balance between family and work life

• Educational programs and resources for adults and families

The voluntary executive committee comprises:

• Torsten Krüger, Chair

• Antje Groth-Simonides, Deputy Chair

• Jana Zimmermann, Treasurer

• Guido Putzke

• Karin Muchajer

• Astrid Reckner

Doris Küßner is the Managing Director appointed by the Board of Directors. She manages the association’s daily operations on a voluntary basis in accordance with the articles of association, and leads the Spatzenhaus daycare center.
